India have finished a lowly ninth in the on-going men's hockey World Cup tournament. In a play-off match for the ninth place at The Hague, Netherlands, today, India posted a comfortable 3-0 win over Asian champions South Korea. Akashdeep Singh scored two of the goals in the sixth and 50th minutes. The other goal came through Rupinder Pal Singh who converted a penalty stroke in the 42nd minute.
