India's Gaurav Solanki and Shyam Kakara have entered the quarterfinals of the World Youth Boxing Championships. In Sofia, Bulgaria, today, Asian silver-medallist Solanki defeated Ireland's William Donoghue 3-0 in his pre-quarterfinal bout in the 52 kg category .In the men's light fly 46-49kg bout, Shyam Kakara scored a technical knockout victory over Ireland's Brendan Irvine to move into the quarter-finals. Another Indian boxer Neeraj Parasar (64kg) bowed out after losing to Richard Toth of Hungary 1-2.The mega-event is doubling up as a qualifying event for the Youth Olympics to be held in Nanjing, China, from August 16 to 28.
