India's Gaurav Solanki has entered the quarterfinal of the World Youth Boxing Championships in the 52 kg category. In Sofia, Bulgaria, today, the Asian silver-medallist defeated Ireland's William Donoghue 3-0 in his pre-quarterfinal bout. Solanki has now set up a clash against China's L V Ping, who overcame Spain's Gabriel Escobar.Another Indian boxer Neeraj Parasar (64kg) bowed out after losing to Richard Toth of Hungary 1-2.The mega-event is doubling up as a qualifying event for the Youth Olympics to be held in Nanjing, China, from August 16 to 28.
