World No. 20 and 4th seeded Joshna Chinappa defeated Heba El Torky from Egypt 11-13, 11-8, 11-5, 3-11, 12-10 in the finals of the Winter Club Open, a WSA event in the Canadian city of Winnipeg.This was her 8th WSA tour event. In route to the finals, Joshna defeated Misaki Kobayashi of Japan in the semifinal 3-1, Siyoli Waters from South Africa in the quarterfinals 3-0 and Canadaian Jaycee Seagrud in her first round match 3-0.
