CII today welcomed Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's speech touching upon corruption, stalled infrastructure projects and reforms in labour laws. In a statement issued in New Delhi, the industry body said Mr Gandhi's speech was comprehensive and dwelled upon real issues. The statement added that reforms in labour laws proposed by Mr Gandhi will enable manufacturing sector to contribute 25 per cent of GDP generating 100 million jobs in the next decade.Interacting with business leaders in Delhi yesterday, the Congress Vice-President had said the biggest issue that is bleeding people dry is corruption and arbitrary powers were holding up projects.
