Indian shooters have dished out an impressive performance by winning seven medals at the ongoing third Asian Shotgun Championship in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The tally includes two gold, two silver and three bronze medals.The senior trap team comprising Manavjeet, Zoravar Singh Sandhu and Mansher Singh won the gold medal with a total score 365 out of 375. The second gold came when the team consisting of G.S. Sharan, Manavaditya Rathore and Mohd Shees won the trap junior event with a total 329 out of 375.Seema Tomar, Shagun Chowdhary and Shreyasi Singh teamed up to clinch the trap senior women's team silver after aggregating 200 out of 225. The second silver medal was won by G S Sharan, a junior trap shooter. The event also saw veteran trap shooter Manavjeet Singh Sandhu equalling the Asian record of 124 out of 125 in the preliminary stages and winning the bronze medal in the seniors category.
