India will take on Australia in the next game of the 17th Asian Senior Men's Volleyball championship in Dubai tomorrow. In order to stay in contention for a medal at the tournament, the match against a strong and much fancied Australia is a must win situation for India. Indian team Captain Gurinder Singh told AIR in Dubai that despite the loss, team spirit is high and they would put their level best in the match against Australia.Despite putting up a sterling performance, Indian spikers lost out to Qatar in a five setter yesterday. India took the lead winning the first and the third sets. But Qatar came from behind and pulled out a victory in a nail biting finish. The scores were 25-17, 21-25, 25-23, 18-25, 13-15. Indian Coach Dr. Bir Singh said the team was missing the presence of their ace strikers in action. Kamlesh Khatik, fell ill as the team got ready to leave for Dubai. He lamented that things got difficult as the pressure built up in the later half of the game.
