The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) today announced five lakh rupees for World Championship silver medallist Amit Kumar. Bronze medal winners Bajrang and Sandeep Tulsi Yadav will be given three lakh rupees each. A felicitation ceremony was organised by the WFI for the three wrestlers, who delivered India's best-ever performance at the prestigious event in Budapest, Hungary recently.While Amit and Bajrang claimed medals in 55kg and 60kg freestyle category, Sandeep brought home India its first medal in the Greco Roman style at the senior world event. Olympic heroes Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt were also present at the function.
