Afghanistan has won the SAFF Football Championship defeating India 2-0. In the final played at Dasarath Stadium, in Kathmandu on Wednesday evening , Afghanistan opened their scoring early with a goal scored in the eight minute of the game and doubled their lead in the second half .This is for the first time that Afghanistan have won the Championship.While India had made a seventh appearance in the final in the SAFF Championship.
