On the ongoing SAFF Football Championship in Kathmandu, Nepal defeated India 2-1 in a thrilling match in Dasarath Stadium today. Both teams have qualified for the semi finals from Group-A with Nepal getting seven points from three matches and India four points.The hosts bolstered with a capacity filled crowd opened the score with Anil Gurung scoring in the 70th minute and Juman Rai scoring in the 80th minute. For India, Robin Singh scored in the 90 th minute. In the other Group-A match played at Halchowk Stadium, Pakistan and Bangladesh drew 1-1.With the group B matches being played tomorrow , the semifinal line up will be decided, though Afghanistan and Maldives have already qualified as both teams have already picked six points each from the earlier two matches.
