India will take on Bangladesh in their third and final Pool match of the ninth Men's Asia Cup hockey tournament at Ipoh in Malaysia today. The match will be played at 5:35 PM Indian Time. With victories in the first two games, India have already advanced to the semi-finals of the competition. They had defeated Oman, 8-0 on Saturday, before beating defending champions Korea, 2-0, on Monday, to top Pool-B and book a semi-final berth. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have lost both its Pool matches.Korea will meet Oman in the other Pool-B fixture today.In yesterday's Pool-A results, Pakistan brushed aside Chinese Taipei, 13-0, while Malaysia defeated Japan, 4-2.Pakistan and Malaysia are the two teams from Pool-A, to have qualified to the semi-finals. India's World Cup hopes hinge on this tournament's triumph, as the event offers its winners an automatic entry into next year's FIH World Cup, as continental champions.
