In Paris last night, the 69th ranked Indian went down to Germany's Timo Boll 1-4 in the second round. With his defeat, Indian challenge in the championship also came to an end. Earlier, India's mixed doubles pair of Soumyajit Ghosh and Mouma Das lost 2-4 against the duo of Peng Tang and Wing Nam NG of Hong Kong in their round of 32 match.
