Rising Indian shuttler PV Sindhu will battle it out for a Women's Singles semi-finals berth, in the Badminton Asia Championships at Taipei today. She will take on seventh seed Eriko Hirose of Japan. Yesterday, Sindhu had stunned China's former World No. 1 Shixian Wang to storm into the last-eight stage. Sindhu is the lone Indian woman in the fray, in the absence of star compatriot Saina Nehwal. In the Men's Singles, London Olympics quarterfinalist and fourth seed P Kashyap crashed out of the tournament, after losing lower seed Huan Gao of China, 19-21, 15-21, in the pre-quarterfinals.
