India and Kuwait today held extensive discussions to explore opportunities for Kuwaiti investment in refineries in the country. External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid held talks in New Delhi with his Kuwaiti counterpart Shaikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on various bilateral issues including ways to exploit potential Indian project exports to Kuwait in New Delhi.The two Ministers also exchanged views on the situation in West Asia and matters relating to the welfare of the large Indian community resident in Kuwait.The Kuwaiti minister who is on a three-day visit to India also held meetings with Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, M. Veerappa Moily.
