India's foodgrain export is likely to be worth around 40 billion US dollars in the current fiscal. Stating this to a news agency in Patna today, Union Minister of State for Agriculture Tariq Anwar said that foodgrains worth 20-25 billion US dollars have been shipped so far.The Minister said foodgrains production in the country is expected to scale up to 250 million metric tonnes in 2012-13 out of which 240 MMT foodgrain production has already been achieved.
