The Indian Open Grand Prix Gold Badminton tournament kicks off in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh today. India's shuttle queen and London Olympics bronze-medallist Saina Nehwal has been given the top billing in the Women's Singles section, while flamboyant former world champion Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia leads the Men's Singles line-up.The other star attractions for the six-day Championship include, London Olympics quarter-finalist Parupalli Kashyap, Ajay Jayaram, Saurabh Verma, teen sensation PV Sindhu and Ashwini Ponnappa.A total of 150 shuttlers from 12 countries are participating in the 120,000 US dollar competition, which is being organised by the UP Badminton Association under the auspices of the Badminton Association of India, BAI.
