In the BNP Paribas Open Tennis, India's Sania Mirza and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina have stormed into the quarterfinals of the Women's Doubles category at the Indian Wells in California. In the pre-quarterfinals on Sunday, the second seeded Indo-Russian pair defeated the Swiss-Italian combine of Timea Bacsinszky and Alberta Brianti 6-1, 3-6, 10-2. Sania and Elena will next play the winner of the pre-quarterfinal match between the Argentinian duo of Gisela Dulko and Paola Suarez and the Romanian-Spanish tandem of Irina Camelia Begu and Maria Martinez Sanchez.Sania had earlier crashed out of the Singles section after losing in the second round.
