Hosts and Defending Champions India maintained their splendid form in the 2nd World Cup Kabaddi Championship in Punjab, to emerge victorious in both Men's and Women's category.In the Men's section, India defeated Canada 59-25 in Ludhiana last night, to win the prize money of Rs. 2 crore.Canada, who finished as runners up, bagged Rs. 1 crore. India's Gagandeep Gaggi Khiranwali and Mangat Singh Mangi were adjudged best raider and best stopper of the tournament.In the Women's section, India clinched the maiden World Cup Women's Kabaddi trophy, beating United Kingdom, 44-17. Pakistan trounced Italy, to finish third.The 20-day extravaganza ended last night, with a scintillating closing ceremony. 14 countries had participated in the Men's category, with four in the Women's section.
