Sports Ministry has sanctioned about four lakh rupees for medical treatment of former Cricket Coach Desh Prem Azad. In a press statement issued in New Delhi, Sports Minister Ajay Maken said that government has sanctioned the amount under the scheme of National Welfare Fund for Sportspersons keeping in view the poor financial position of Mr. Azad who has coached Cricket legends like Kapil Dev, Harbhajan Singh and Chetan Sharma.
