Five time world champion M C Marycom of Manipur and L Sarita Devi of All India Police stormed into the quarter final round of fly 51 kilogram category of the 12th Senior Women Boxing Championships being played in Bhopal . M C Marycom defeated Shabana of Delhi 22-6 while L Sarita Devi beat Daljeet Kaur of Punjab 30-3 today.Apart from M C Marycom and L Sarita Devi, Sarjubala Devi of Manipur, Krishna Thapa and Nirmala Kohli of host Madhya Pradesh, Vanlal Duati of Mizoram, Jhanvi Gogoi and Kalpana Choudhry of Railways Sports Promotion Board, Dolly Singh of West Bengal, Pooja Tokas of Delhi, Pinki Jangra and Mamta of Haryana and Hema Yogesh of Kerala have also booked their place in the quarter final round of different categories, registering victories over their respective opponents. A total of 56 bouts are being played today. Quarter final bouts will start from tomorrow.
