Indian pugilists, Devendro Singh Laishram and Manoj Kumar Jai Bhagwan have bowed out of the World Boxing Championships, now under way in Azerbaijan. In their quarter-final bouts at Baku today, while Devendro Laishram lost to Korean Jong Hoon Shin, 16-28 in the 49-kg category, Manoj Kumar was beaten by Briton Thomas Lee Stalker, 18-24 in the 64 kg division. Two more Indian boxers – Jai Bhagwan and Vikas Krishnan will figure in the quarter-final bouts in their respective categories later tonight. All the four Indian boxers qualified for the London Olympics on Tuesday by reaching the quarter-finals.
