Two more Indian pugilists on Tuesday secured a berth at the 2012 London Olympics after storming into the quarter-finals of the World Boxing Championships at Baku in Azerbaijan. Jai Bhagwan and Vikas Krishan defeated their opponents in the pre-quarterfinals of their respective categories and joined Devendro Singh Laishram and Manoj Kumar in the boxing team, that will compete in the Olympics in London next year. While Jai Bhagwan upstaged David Oliver Joyce of Ireland, 32-30, in a tense battle in the light weight category, Vikas Krishan beat Onder Sipal of Turkey, 14-7, in the welter weight division.Earlier yesterday, Manoj Kumar and Devendro Singh Laishram made their way into the Olympics, reaching the last eight stages of the light welter weight and light fly weight categories respectively.Today, all the four pugilists will box in their respective divisions for a semi-final berth.
