The Indian team continued its winning spree at the 2011 AIBA World Boxing Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan as veteran boxers Akhil Kumar and Suranjoy Mayengbam Singh steamrolled their Ist round opponents registering easy victories. Both the Indian boxers have now advanced to the second round in the championship. In the next round Akhil will lock horns with world number 4 and seeded 4th in the tournament, John Nevin of Ireland on the 3rd of October.
