Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed her deep shock at the loss of life and property in India and Nepal following an earthquake that hit the region on Sunday evening. Sheikh Hasina who is now in New York on a visit to the United States to participate in the UN General assembly sent two separate condolence messages to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Nepalese Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai. Sheikh Hasina hoped that the two neighbouring countries would be able to overcome the losses they suffered due to the earthquake soon.
