India were 240 for 6 in the first innings of the first cricket test in reply to England's score of 474 at Lord's when reports last came in. India made an assured start when the third day's play resumed on Saturday with their total on 17. But Stuart Broad dismissed Gautam Gambhir for 15, Abhinav Mukund for 49 and Sachin Tendulkar for 34. VVS Laxman could score only 10 runs and Suresh Raina was trapped lbw by Graeme Swann without any score. Rahul Dravid who completed his half century and Mahendra Singh Dhoni were at the crease.
