A total of seven Indian boxers are now in the semi-finals of the AIBA Women's Youth and Junior World Championships in Antalya, Turkey. In another productive day on Wednesday, four boxers advanced to the semifinals of the championships. Sarjubala Devi (48kg), Poonam Chahal (60kg), Minu Basumatary (64kg) secured berths in the last-four stage, while Lalfakzuali (52kg) obtained a semi-final spot in the junior championship. Three boxers Pwilao Basumatary (54kg), Lalenkawli (46kg) and Nikhat Zareen (50kg) have already made the last-four stage. India now have seven pugilists with a sure shot chance of a medal at the very first world championship in the women's junior and youth division.
