In Johannesburg, the Men's Singles final between Somdev Devvarman and fourth seeded South African Kevin Anderson in the South African Open tennis tournament is now in progress. This is Somdev's first ATP final in two years. In the semi-final yesterday, Somdev beat local wild card entrant Izak Van der Merwe in straight sets 6-2 6-4. Kevin Anderson defeated Frenchman Adrian Mannrino 6-7, 6-0 6-4 in the other semifinal match. Last year, Somdev was eliminated in straight sets by Spain's David Ferrer at the quarter-final stage.
