The Queen's Baton Relay of the Commonwealth Games has arrived in the national capital. The baton entered the Delhi today from the neighbouring state of Haryana. The Baton was received by Delhi Transport and Education Minister Arvinder Singh Lovely. Later, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna received the baton at the organising committee headquarters near Janatar Mantar.Chief minister Sheila Dikshit and organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi were also present among others. Tomorrow the baton will travel to Vijay Chowk, India Gate, Qutab Minar and Lotus temple. The relay will conclude after the final Baton bearer enters the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium during the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on Sunday. Elaborate security arrangement has been made for the Queen's Baton Relay.Coinciding with the arrival of the baton, Commonwealth Express Train also arrived in the city yesterday, the special exhibition train to promote the games will spread awareness about sports and information technology. The train will be open for public viewing at Patel Nagar railway Station today, at Safdarjung railway station tomorrow. During the games, the special train will be stationed at Paragati maidan railway station. AIR correspondent reports this train attracted more than seven lakh visitors so far during its three months journey across the country.
