Top seeded Serena Williams has bowed out of the Women's Singles at the French Open tennis championships. In the quarter-finals in Paris today, the World Numer One was upset by Samantha Stosur of Australia in three sets 6-2, 6-7, 8-6. The Australian had earlier in the tournament stunned four-times former champion Justine Henin. In the day's other Women's Singles quarter-final, Serbian fourth-seeded Jelena Jankovic defeated unseeded Yaroslav Shvedova of Kazakhstan in straight sets 7-5, 6-4.
