A 22-member women's hockey squad has been announced for the New Zealand tour. As per a Hockey India release, the squad was picked after a two-day selection trial in Bhopal. Veteran striker Surinder Kaur will lead the squad in the five-match Test series commencing from May 13. The first Test is scheduled for May 15.The series is to be played at Palmerston North in Wellington. It is part of the India team's preparation for the Women's World Cup at Rosario, Argentina in August.
