The BCCI has appointed former South Africa coach Eric Simons as the Indian cricket team's bowling consultant for the two Tests against Bangladesh and the subsequent home series against South Africa.This information was given by BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan in a brief statement on Monday.The Test series against Bangladesh starts January 17 while the two Tests and three one-dayers against South Africa are scheduled next month. India has been without a bowling coach ever since Venkatesh Prasad was removed following the team's unsuccessfulChampions Trophy campaign in September-October last year.The appointment comes just days after Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni stated that Indian Coach Gary Kirsten has been left overburdened after the removal of Venkatesh Prasad and fielding coach Robin Singh.
