Country's mineral production in value terms grew by 8.25 per cent to Rs 8,817 crore in October 2009. According to an official data released on Monday Coal sector's contribution remained the highest at Rs 3,379 crore followed by iron at Rs 1,650 crore and petroleum (crude) at Rs 1,590 crore.
