5093 people of special categories cast vote through postal ballot in Himachal Pradesh

In Himachal Pradesh, 5093 people of special categories cast their votes through postal ballot for state assembly elections. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Manish Garg said, total 43,143 forms have been received completely in all respects including special category of 4330 ballots of 80 plus and 763  forms of Divyangjan have been received across the state.<br />''<br />''Mr. Garg said, a total of 1 lakh 70 thousand 403 Form 12-Ds were issued to people above 80 years of age, disabled (PWD) voters and those employed in essential services in the state to make the electoral process inclusive and ensure the participation of special category voters. He further said, the process of collecting postal ballot papers from these voters has started on Nov 2 and will be completed before 11th November.<br />''<br />''He informed that the number of postal ballot cast were 366 in Kangra, 297 in Kullu, 1991 in Mandi, 528 in Una, 838 in Bilaspur, 315 in Solan, 669 in Shimla and 89 in Kinnaur district yesterday.<br />
