Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi today condemned the remarks made by Imran Masood, the party candidate from Saharanpur Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, against Narendra Modi.
Addressing a rally in Ghaziabad, Gandhi said that Congress does not endorse the language used by Masood. He was arrested last night and sent to judicial custody for 14 days, after a Uttar Pradesh court rejected his bail plea. The Congress vice president said that party talked about love, not hatred.
Meanwhile, BJP has urged the Election Commission to take strictest action against Imran Masood and his party.
