<span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka reported the highest single day spike in COVID 19 cases and deaths yesterday since the outbreak of the pandemic. It recorded 50,112 new COVID 19 cases and 346 deaths in a single day yesterday taking the total active cases in the state to 4,87,288. The positivity rate has sharply risen to 32.28 percent and the case fatality rate stood at 0.69 percent. Bangalore Urban district alone reported 23,106 new cases yesterday. The state also saw 26,841 people recover from the infection and were discharged. As on date, 12,36,854 out of 17,41,046 COVID active persons have recovered from Corona Virus infection in the state.</span><br />
