The government today said, procurement of 50,000 bullet proof jackets manufactured by indigenous companies will be done within six months and the proposal for another one lakh jackets has been given. <br/><br/>Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Defence Dr Subhash Bhamre assured the House that bulletproof jackets for soldiers would be procured speedily.<br/><br/>Dr Bhamre also said, the government is in the process of exploring the feasibility to construct portable, blast and bullet proof and lego like bunkers for the Army to replace stone mud log and steel shelters.
