<br/>In Andhra Pradesh, about 50 opposition members were suspended from the Legislative Assembly last night for stalling the proceedings demanding the Government to make a statement on police firing at Sompeta in Srikakulam district. At least two persons were killed and nearly 100 persons injured when police opened fire and resorted to lathicharge to quell agitators protesting the construction of a thermal power project at Sompeta in Srikakulam district last evening. <br/><br/>The Members of Telugu Desam, CPI, CPM and BJP members have stalled the proceedings demanding the Government to reveal the facts about Sompeta firing as local reports say three persons died in the incident. However, Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said the Government would make a statement in the Assembly today after obtaining details.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the Chief Minister K Rosaiah has reviewed Sompeta situation last night and decided to send a Team of Ministers to Sompeta. He assured that nothing would be done against the will of people.
