In Afghanistan, at least 50 people including women and children were killed on Wednesday afternoon as a roof collapsed in Julga district of northern Baghlan province. A member of the Provincial Council Fazludin Muradi said the incident occurred in a wedding party where over 100 villagers were sitting on a roof, which suddenly caved in leaving 50 people including women and children dead. He said some 40 others sustained injuries.
