50 injured in Maoist- police clash in Nepal

In Nepal, 50 people were injured in a clash with police by Maoists during a rally in Kathmandu today. The Maoists laid a siege to government secretariat demanding an end to CPN-UML's rule. Those injured include MPs and an ex-deputy premier. Thousands of police personnel were deployed to control Maoist protesters led by their chief Pushpakamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and another top leader Mohan Vaidya 'Kiran.Police resorted to baton charge and fired teargas shells to control the mob. Four policemen were also injured as Maoists pelted stones at them.
