50 Electric Buses launched in Delhi with support of Central Govts FAME India Phase -2 scheme

<span style="color: #222222;">A total of 50 Electric Buses have been launched in the national capital today, with the support of Central Governments FAME India Phase -2 scheme. <br />''<br />''The Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme was formulated to improve the infrastructure required for the large-scale use of electric vehicles. Heavy Industries Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said for the Union Territory of Delhi 400 electric buses were sanctioned for last-mile connectivity in 2019. <br />''<br />''He said, a total of 250 buses have already been deployed by DTC and now the remaining 50 buses have been launched in the national capital today. The Minister said, Central Government is giving an incentive of 165 crore rupees to DTC for these electric buses.  <br />''<br />''The Minister also underlined that under the FAME – 2 Scheme, State Governments have placed supply orders for three thousand 538 Electric Buses. Out of this, a total of one thousand 716 electric Buses have been deployed as on today. </span><br />
