In Afghanistan, five Taliban militants were killed today in a gun battle with border police in the eastern Khost province. <br/><br/>The commander of the Afghan and NATO-led Forces General Mohammad Nawab said a group of armed militants raided a border police outpost in Dabgi area of Ali Shir district this morning and police in retaliation returned fire killing the five militants. <br/>
