Five security personnel including three army officers were today killed in an ambush by suspected insurgents of the United National Liberation Front in Manipur's Chandel district. Officials said, the insurgents attacked the Assam Rifles personnel with automatic weapons in a thickly wooded area close to the Manipur-Myanmar border. The security personnel returned the fire and in a fierce encounter that followed, three army officers deputed to the paramilitary force and two security personnel were killed. Casualty on the side of insurgents was not immediately known. Additional security forces have rushed to the spot.<br/>
