5 more killed in U’khand landslide

In Uttarakhand, five more people were killed due to landslides on Friday whereas Gangotri National Highway and many other roads were blocked due to landslides following heavy rain. Met Department has predicted light to moderate rain may occur at various places in the next 24 hours. In Uttarakashi, five labourers were buried alive when they were busy in construction of a road yesterday. According to official sources, other five persons were injured in this incident. Meanwhile, in Udhamsingh Nagar, the raising level of Baigul river have led to large scale devastation of crops. District Magistrate V V R Purushotham told our Dehradun correspondent that 800 people rescued in Ranjit Nagar who were affected from flood.
