In China, five miners were killed and another one reported missing in a coal mine accident in the south-western Guizhou Province. Officials said the accident happened in a privately owned Changjiang coal mine in Qianxi County. Thirty-four miners were working underground when the mishap occured. Twentysix miners were able to leave the mine, while two others were rescued later.
