In Kashmir Valley, five militants have been killed during an ongoing operation that was started day on Thursday in Machil Sector of frontier Kupwara district. Army sources said an infiltration bid had been foiled after alert troops noticed some movement on the line of control. A search operation was launched during which the five militants were killed. Meanwhile, situation is peaceful today as authorities have lifted curfew from Srinagar and all other towns except Kangan. Markets are open in Srinagar and transport is also plying normally.
