In Jammu and Kashmir, five militants have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Gader forests of Keller area of Shopian district today. On a specific tip off, Shopian police along with 44 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched a search operation in Gader forest area this morning. During the searches, militants present in the forest fired upon the joint search team, triggering an encounter in which five militants were killed. A police spokesperson said that the identity of the militants is being ascertained. Three AK rifles, one SLR rifle and one pistol have been recovered from the encounter site so far. The search operation is still going on. Security forces had eliminated a Pakistani militant in Sopore yesterday.
