In Jammu and Kashmir, five militants of the Lashker-E-Toiba have been killed in an encounter with security forces at Makhdoom Mohalla in Lolab district of Kupwara in the Kashmir Valley. One army jawan also lost his life while four jawans suffered injuries in the encounter that ended by dusk. According to an army spokesman, the militants were engaged this morning after receiving specific information regarding their in the village. Major General Ravi Thodkay the G.O.C. of the Killo forces of the army said that, all civilians were shifted to safer places before the encounter.
