In Bangladesh, 5 people were killed in fresh landslides today in Khagrachchari and Moulvibazar districts of Bangladesh due to heavy rains in the area since yesterday. In the southeastern hilly district of Khagrachchari 3 children including 2 siblings were killed when their house was destroyed in the landslide. In the northeastern district of Moulvibazar, a woman and her daughter died as their house collapsed. The fresh landslides follow a series of landslides last week in the southeastern hilly districts of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati and Khagrachchari which claimed over 150 lives including those of 5 army men engaged in rescue work.
