In Karnataka, five people were killed on the spot and two were injured when the car in which they were traveling hit a stationary truck early morning today. The accident occurred near Thadola Cross on National Highway nine in Basavakalyan Taluk of Bidar district. The injured have been admitted to Basavakalyan Government Hospital. The travelers, who are said to be from Andhra Pradesh from traveling to Shirdi. A case is registered at Basavakalyan Rural police station.
