Five fast track courts to hear cases of crime against women will start functioning from tomorrow in Delhi. Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir will inaugurate one such fast-track court at Saket this evening. This court will hear the case of the 23-year-old rape victim.
The Delhi Police plans to submit around 1000-page chargesheet in the metropolitan magistrate’s court in Saket tomorrow. Then, the case will be moved to the fast-track court to hear it on a day-to-day trial basis.
AIR espondent reports, the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court had last month said that all cases related to crimes against women in the city would be handled by fast-track courts.
